Group Classes scheduled
Classes meet on Thursday mornings, Saturday mornings, and early Saturday afternoons. Classes are once a week for 6 weeks at the Winnetka Community House. An Introdction to the class with instructions on what to bring will be emailed to all participants prior to the first class.

Puppy Obedience:
10:00 a.m. – Puppies 12 weeks and older. Covers; house training, dressing your dog, attention, focus, nose targeting, touch command, marker word, come/recall, sit, down, stay, waiting at the door. Long line exercises, grooming and start of going to your place/bed, and an opportunity to take the AKC STAR Test.
Basic Obedience:
11:00 a.m. – Dogs 5 months and older. Covers; attention & focus, distance recall, leave it, drop it, auto sit, down, stay, 360 degree walk around, working with distractions, going to your place/bed, loose leash walking, healing, markers and other obedience skills and the introduction of Intermediate Obedience skills including an opportunity to take the CGC Test.

What to Bring to Your First Group Class
- 1. Dog’s vaccination papers (need to see only). (First Class Only)List Item #1
- 2. Soft small, tasty treats for your dog.
- 3. Clean up bags for each class.
- 4. Please do not wear sandals, wear tennis shoes or sandals with a back strap.
- 5. Completed registration form which will be e-mailed to you prior to class
- 6. $10.00 materials fee is paid directly to the instructor. (First Class Only)
- 7. Reactive dogs are not allowed in this obedience class
- 8. All recommended training methods will use positive reinforcement techniques.
NOTE: Missed classes can be made-up if notice is given to the instructor for the missed date and notice of the date you want to make up the class.

For dogs who repeat this class or advance through this class, Intermediate Obedience skills will be added, including an opportunity to take the CGC Test.

Puppy Playtime
Want to socialize with your new puppy? We are providing a 50-minute play session for puppies 8 to 13 weeks old.
Puppies should be happy and healthy and show no signs of aggression. The daily maximum is 10 puppies. Montana Hayes; Big Sky Dog Training will be managing the group and is available for training questions, and exercises including tips on house-breaking. Sign up early to get your spot. Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and reward-based socialization program. Looking forward to seeing you there.
