SUGGESTED LESSON PLAN
Lesson One:
- Meet and greet on lead / (accepting a friendly stranger. 
- Check Equipment 
- Markers 
- Nose Targeting / Watch Me 
- Types of rewards & Release & Time outs 
- Come Game (Recall) 
- Sit, attention, and focus exercises and for petting. 
- Wait at the door on the way out 
- Socialization 
Lesson Five: (Have a towel or dog bed &something to retrieve and leave-it)
- Two dogs recall with distraction 
- Retrieve Game 
- Meet and great with a friendly stranger 
- Dog Comes when called – no distraction 
- Automatic Sit 
- Walk on a loose leash 
- Recall from a group of dogs 
- Go to place (mat) 
- Reaction to distractions, noises 
- Supervised separation 
Lesson Two: (Have a high-value dog toy or bone)
- Appearance and Grooming, Health & Nutrition (food) 
- Walk a straight line – loose leash walking 
- Walk through the group with no interaction 
- Touch and recall to a reverse 
- Sit and Sit/Stay 
- Down and Down/stay / Stand 
- Leash corrections – using half-halts 
- Leave it / take it/drop it 
- Nose Targeting 
Lesson Four: (Have towel or dog bed)
- Long Line recall exercises 
- Come/Recall from Group 
- One dog recall between 2 dogs from a distance 
- Go to place (mat) 
- Walk through a crowd of dogs and owners 
- Add distraction during exercises 
- Tap and recall (reverse) 
- Stand for appearance and grooming & Vet 
- Recall (Come) when called from 10 ft & 20 foot (on lead) 
Lesson Six: (Have a towel or dog bed & something to retrieve and leave it)
- Dog(s) comes when called – with distraction 
- Reaction to another dog during a sit 
- Sit & Down Stay – at a distance with distractions 
- Go to commands 
- Retrieve Game 
- Go to your place (mat) 
- Certificates 
- CGC Test if interested 
- Photos 
Lesson Three: (Have a high-value dog toy or bone)
- Recall from the group (each class forward) 
- Side Sit Command 
- Auto Sit 
- Down Stay (0-6 ft out with 360 walk around) 
- One dog recall 
- Stop (Have a 20’ Long Line/not expandable) 
- Wait at the door, in the car, stairs, etc. 
- Put collar/harness/leash on the dog while calm 
- Down/stay 20ft leash without distractions
